Our values
When putting on a gig for Turn up for Recovery, there are a few guidelines which we ask all our community to abide by to make sure all our gigs are a safe and supportive place.
- Drink responsibly. We encourage trying out a “dry gig” where no alcohol is served, but if alcohol is being consumed at your gigs (which is also fine!) please encourage responsible consumption.
- No inappropriate content. We want our gigs to be enjoyed by all, so please ensure that all the entertainment is appropriate, respectful and inclusive.
- We don’t endorse artists. Turn up for Recovery does not pay artists directly to play at gigs.
- All profits to charity. We understand that not all gigs can be put on for free, so if you incur costs from putting on a gig, we are happy for you to take this out of the money raised through ticket sales. However, we do ask that any profit is donated to Turn up for Recovery which will go towards funding ABR treatment for those who can’t afford it.
- Spread the word. Getting a group of people together for a gig is a great chance to raise awareness of abstinence – make the most of it!
- Respect the venue. If you’re hosting an event in a venue, ensure you comply with their health and safety regulations such as venue capacity, finish time etc.
